Wedding Colour of 2019 – Living Coral
Pantone has announced its colour of the year for 2019 and it is a bright and sunny colour called Living Coral. Read how you can incorporate Living Coral into your Wedding Colour Scheme.
Living Coral (Pantone 16-1546) is officially described as “an animating shade of orange with a golden undertone” and signifies “happiness” so is set to be big wedding trend for 2019.
Coral is a cheery pinky-orange tone and is a fantastic hue to use in a wedding. From coral coloured flowers, bridesmaid dresses, cakes, makeup and colour schemes there are lots of ways to incorporate Coral into a wedding.
Coral works well with a lot of other colours and will ‘pop’ against groomsman suits in navy blue, grey or black. However due to its flexibility it also looks good when paired with gold, aqua, mint or turquoise, meaning you can have a number of shades in your wedding colour scheme. A multi-coloured pallet of two or more colours combined is definitely going to be a big trend for 2019 weddings and Coral is perfect choice for this.
This pretty shade is perfect for a summer wedding but due to the number of shades it can be combined with, it can work across all seasons. Coral will look beautiful with injections of pink and yellow at a spring wedding, but equally well with deeper reds or blacks at a winter wedding.
When it comes to Coral coloured flowers, there are lots to choose from, including; Peonies, Roses, Garden Roses, Carnations, Gerbera, Dahlia, Poppies, Tulips, Phalaenopsis Orchids and Ranunculus in a range of light pink to peach to deep orange colours.
However ivory/cream flowers with a small hint of coral, to inject a bit of colour, would also look gorgeous.
