Lucy and Kurt Skillen - 18th December 2021

This month our featured 'Real Wedding' is Lucy and Kurt who had a Christmas Winter Wedding on 18th December 2021. They got married in The Florrie's Grand Hall in Liverpool, which is a Grade II Listed Victorian community heritage venue. 

The Florrie has been at the heart of the L8 community for over 130 years and this stunning venue is a social, educational, and charity hub for the people of South Liverpool. 

Lucy and Kurt choose this beautiful Liverpool Wedding Venue because all proceeds of the cost of their wedding are gifted to The Florence Institute Charity Trust, to help fund and support the amazing community they serve as a community center and food support hub - that's proper Christmas spirit right there!

Unlike other Liverpool Wedding venues, The Florrie steers clear of varying Wedding Packages to give the Bride and Groom a unique DIY Wedding Reception Package. This teamed with Lucy's creative talents and amazing vision really brought her Winter Wonderland theme to life! 

The Grand Hall at The Florrie was decorated with Christmas Trees, fairy lights, and festive garlands. 

To match this Christmas Winter Wonderland theme we created a wonderful hand-tied Bride bouquet for Lucy in blues and white by using blue hydrangeas, eryngium (thistle), white lisianthus, gypsophila, eucalyptus, and touches of conifer to give it a festive vibe.  We finished the bouquet with blue satin ribbon trails.

To match the bride's bouquet we made Kurt a Buttonhole of white lisianthus, eryngium, and gypsophila and we made matching buttonholes and corsages for the rest of the bridal party.

Lucy and Kurt's Bridesmaids, dressed in blue, had white gypsy grass hand-tied bouquets, whilst their cute little flower girl had a large gypsophila heart which she carried all day.
