Personalised poems are great for wedding speeches, readings and vows or simply as a gift to the couple or from bride to groom/ groom to bride and make a lovely unique keepsake. They could also be used as gifts for bridesmaids, parents and I have also had bridesmaids order them for their Brides Hen Party. You could even have a poem written for each stage of your love story for each table at your wedding breakfast!

I started writing personalised poems ten years ago after writing one for my friend’s wedding where I was Bridesmaid. It went down so well that every friend’s wedding following it came to be ‘expected’ that I’d write a personalised Wedding poem. It’s such a great way to capture the couple’s love story through rhyme! Then the babies came along, then big birthdays and I started writing rhymes for all occasions, even my grandma’s funeral.

I love writing client’s poems. I feel honoured that they trust me with their stories, some of the information I’m given is heart-warming and funny and even a bit saucy sometimes! I gather information from clients about their occasion and recipient through a questionnaire. I then work my poetic prowess to create something totally bespoke, with a sensitive balance of sentiment, nostalgia and humour. An affordable gift sure to bring tears of joy and happiness and evoke lots of memories to be treasured forever!
